 | Dr. Luis Francisco Perez Agosttini was born in Sonora Mexico and graduated in Medicine from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM) in 1974. He entered Medical practice at the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social Hospital located in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico but assumed full time responsibility for family mining business following father?s death. His achievements included building and operating 20 ton per day Merrill-Crowe plant to recover gold and silver from mine dumps and mill tailings. He expanded business to include production and shipment of siliceous gold-silver ore to Anaconda Co. smelter located in Cananea, Sonora and later exported material to the Phelps Dodge smelters at Douglas, Arizona and Hidalgo, New Mexico.
From 1994 he was Director of marketing and business development in Mexico for Jacobs Assay Office located in Tucson, Arizona and was also Consultant and legal representative in Mexico for Lowell Mineral Exploration LLC and Exploraciones Mineras Lowell S.A. de C.V. and Freeport-McMoRan Copper and Gold Co. His responsibilities included land acquisition, supervision of drilling and sampling programs and importation-exportation of samples and geophysical equipment. Since 2002 he has been Director of field operations in Mexico for Minerales VANE S.A. de C.V. mineral exploration and development company. Responsibilities include all contract negotiations, land acquisition, and oversight of technical operations. He is a native Spanish speaker - completely fluent in English. |
